Warped in my mail box (but not in a good way)

I live in Phoenix, AZ. I got home from a trip earlier this week and found some cigars I ordered as well as a cigar caddy in my mailbox.
They were in the mailbox for a few of days (but the temperature was above 110 degrees F) and the mailbox is metal, so I assume the temp within the mailbox had to be 140 degrees or so.
Anyway, I had a 5 pack of El Guenguense CGs which are pretty warped

Also the cigar caddy is warped as well

My question is do you guys think the burn/taste of the cigars are going to be affected?
Either way, with as much as I travel, it looks like I'll be buying more sticks at a B&M for most of the summer.

Unfortunately, we have community mailboxes in most developments in Phoenix, so the mail man never comes to our doors. UPS and FED EX do so that's something I'll definitely consider.

Yeah... I'm going to rest them in my NewAir CC 100 (at 65 deg) for a month before smoking them (my normal M.O. for sticks ordered thru the mail).
Hopefully the taste is the same; I can deal with minor burn issues.
Anyway, first experience ordering cigars in the summer time in Phoenix.

Pop one in a ziplock with a hygrometer and see what the Rh is. I would be curious in such high temps and dry conditions. Hopefully they will smoke fine after a good rest.

I'd suggest freezing them in case any beetles decided to hatch and survived the oven known as your mailbox. That sucks man.

As far as your mail goes, If you'll be away and are expecting cigars, you can have the post office hold your mail until you get home. You can make the request online to make it easy.

Unfortunately, they were in my humi at 65 deg for a couple of days before I posted, so I don't know what humidity they arrives at (but I wish I would have checked). I'll have to check with the PO about holding on to the boxes when I'm out.

I had a box of 06 RyJ TPC sit in the top shelf of my mail box for 2 days, 106-108 outside 140+ plus inside. They have been in my wino for @3 weeks and look and smell great. I'm sure they are affected but I don't think it killed them.

I make it a habit to stock up by April, and not take shipments in the summer. A few years ago I got called out of town and a shipment with 50 dollars of yeast and hops sat on my porch for three days with highs from 99 to 102.

Sorry to hear this. I bet they'll recover after the month wait and smoke fine. I keep a PO Box for business reasons and try to have all cigars shipped there during the summer. It's not a humi but at least it's air conditioned!
