instead of charging with distilled water only, charge then with 90% distilled water/ 10% PG solution. That 10% PG will keep it regulated to 70%.

propelyne glycol. when you see a bottle of humidor solution, thats what is mixed in it along with distilled water. keeps your humidor at 70%

Propylene glycol. It helps regulate humidity and also acts as an anti-fungal agent.

without the PG, the pillows are just a supplier of humidity. no accurate regulation. if you have a leaky humidor, throw in a pilllow. traveling for a day or two, throw a pillow in the travel humi.

As of late I have a 10 count Otter Box. When I am home I empty it and put the Water Pillow inside and pull it out and load up with my smokes when I go on a trip. It has worked great so far.

I have been doing the same with a 70% boveda pack. It keeps the foam humid, and then the smokes are fine for a day or two.

I've been using my water pillow for months now when I go out of town. It has been holding humidity perfectly in my large otterbox.
