Howdy,
I've been peeking around for awhile and with a lack of cigar forum for the past week found no good reason not to finally join!
I've smoked random cigars over the years with no real enjoyment gained until maybe this past November with a group of local guys meeting weekly. I smoked an H-2000 and lit it with a cedar strip:that was just cool. From there I jumped onto the slippery slope! I've mostly filled a Steampunk Dome 100 ct and have a makeshift Tupperdor... Should've read the Being Fiscally Responsible thread!
Herf, Herfer, and herfing were new words to me, however herper and herping weren't! I've kept reptiles (snakes mostly) since the early 2000s. After moving from North Dakota to Texas and getting rid of the collection for a few years my wife encouraged me to get back into it! My wife really is the best; she encourages hobbies and has led me to homebrewing, back to herping, chainsawing (I love it! So relaxing,) photography, and anything else I want. Oh, she also bought me a small billiard briar pipe- my first!
So cigars... I've discovered I prefer maduros, full bodied, medium to full strength but could care less whether there's nicotine (should I?)
I really enjoyed a My Father Le Bijou 1922 so far, the H Upmann H-2000, and my most recent favorite is a RyJ Reserve Maduro Belicoso which had been "recovered" and was Oh So Creamy!
Well, how's that for long-winded? Looking forward to my time here!
