First I want to let everyone know that I got all the packages out in the mail today. How I did it I'll never know.
So I got up this a.m. to print some labels and get all the boxes ready. Sht the printers broke. Well the old fashion way it is. Write all the labels, get all the boxes ready. Well then the guys from Bstbuy call about the new washer and dryer to be delivered. Yeah we will be there around 10:30. Great i'll let you guys in, put in the new ones, then I'll level the units and connect the fittings and be on my way to USPS. Well then the shit hit the fan.
Ya see we could not just buy top loaders, we had to get front loaders. Did I mention I live in a new construction home? Suffisive to say that the time line I had today was not going to happen. After getting the washer leveled, you have to run a test load for stability. Well everything hooked up and yeah my floor was rocking like the Ocean. O.K. Ill just go online and see what the deal is. Maybe i'm missing something

Google "front loading washer problems" =1,854,896 hits!
Thats funny the laddy at Bestbuy told me these are the quietest and most vibration free washers out there.

Oh thats why the owners manual states concrete 1st floor recommended!

Well i found a solution on Google that stated buying a stable mat( picture a horse barn and a 100lb rubber mat in the stable) and some 3/4 MDF would fix the problem. Went out to Farm Fleet, then to USPS to dropoff the packages. Came back and put down the mat after cutting it to my specs.
Yeah, it still doesn't work that great because the jack ass that suggested this remedy on Google stated to put the MDF down first then the Very hard heavy stable mat. I think it needs to be the other way around so ill try it again on Sat after work.

8hrs of running around cutting MDF and a 3/4" thick rubber mat and leveling and re leveling a washing machine that quite frankly should level its damn self.

MAN I NEED A SMOKE BAD!

Thanks for listening :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:

When I got our Bosh washer I forgot to take out the shipping bolts. It rocked like you wouldn't believe until I took them out. I feel your pain.

A bad day no doubt, but let me tell you about my day yesterday to put things in perspective. I have recently started working at my buddys cigar business doing outside sales, special promotions, and all online activities. It is my dream job, i can smoke while I work, I am working with cigars, and if I don't feel like leaving, I can stay at home and work from there. Yesterday was my third full day on the job, everything had been going great, boss pleased with my work so far, getting along great with the other employees (who really had a right to be angry about being passed over) and successfully finishing my first meeting with the General sales rep in which we may have landed 104 stores.

Now a little background. I am a pretty high strung guy and used to have anxiety problems from worrying about stupid shit all day long. About two years ago my doctor put me on Xanax to help with this. Since then, things have been great. So, normally when i need a refill i just call up the doc and she puts out an envelope for me to pick up and take to the pharmacy, however, the last few times i have noticed that she is being increasingly difficult. I was about to run out of meds early this week and called to let her know this 8 days ago. The next day she calls back and tells me via voicemail that she will not fill the prescriptions and that i need to come in this time to get them. I call her back and explain that i have started a new job, really don't have time to meet for the next couple weeks, and that I am about to run out of meds. Her response...no. Then I leave a message explaining to her that i was literally almost out of pills and that i knew it was unsafe to abruptly stop taking medicine like i would have to do without a refill. I end up running out of meds. She calls the next day and tells me she can meet with me the next day at 2:00, right in the middle of the day. I once again inform her that i cannot do this with a new job just yet. The next day around 5 o'clock she calls and finally agrees to get me a weeks prescription until i can get in to see her.

This is where is gets interesting. At almost exactly the same time she was leaving that message, while talking to my buddy about some business ideas and the success of the meeting we had completed, I had a Grand Mal Seizure that apparently lasted for about 20 minutes. I was not conscious or at least unable to remember any of this. The first thing i remember is the voice of a friend I had made through the shop telling me things would be ok. I am drenched with sweat and although I can hear him, I cannot move, open my eyes, or speak. Next i get back my vision, still no speech. Finally i come totally out of the seizure and can at least respond to the normal "do you know where you are, what day it is, etc". I was taken by ambulance to the hospital and after a shitload of tests and about 7-8 hours, I was allowed to go home. There best bet was that the seizure was caused by the sudden stoppage of my medication and was a common side effect for Xanax patients who abruptly stop taking the medicine.

Upon hearing from those who witnessed the event as it took place i was even more surprised. Apparently at some point the actual convulsions of the seizure halted and i was just kind of breathing funny and basically out of it. It is at this point that the Fire Department and Paramedics arrive. To my dismay, three different people told me that it took six repeat SIX men to hold me down. (I used to be in great shape, work out a lot, bounced at bars, etc, however, have really not stayed in shape the last few years) Apparently anytime someone would try to touch me or get me to the gurney I would resist in anyway possible. In a strange way i was sort of proud about this, two or three guys ok, but SIX, wow, must be in better shape than i thought.

Seriously, this was by far the scariest thing i have ever experienced, to wake up literally tied down to a gurney in an ambulance with tubes everywhere, strangers, no recollection of the events leading up to that point, was horrible.

I am really sore today. It is hard to walk. I reaggravated a back injury that i had literally just spent months with a chiropractor fixing. During the seizure i bit the shit out of my tongue so i can barely talk, eating hurts like shit, and it is only getting worse. It also caused all of the blood vessels in my face to burst so i look like some sort of leper. I have huge bloody looking bags under my eyes. THere is also a golf ball sized knot on the back of my head where I hit the floor.

To make matters even more fun, in NC if you have a seizure, you cannot drive for 3 months. I live about 40 miles from work and am in a job that requires travel. How's that for a day?

Yes the shipping bolts were taken out by the delivery guys. And second your story is undoubtedly 10 times worse then mine. Almost feel bad for venting. And yeah im a paramedic and the Gran Mal seizure that you speak of is a bitch to work on. Alot of times it takes 4 or 5 guys to restrain someone when there in it. By the way how long does it take EMS to get to where you were at?

Actually I am not sure, i will find out, obviously i did not know yesterday when they showed up. I know that my buddy said he thought it took them a long time, but then again when you are in a situation like that time can move so slow. In your experience, is it common for people to have a Gran Mal seizure resulting from a sudden medication stoppage?

Wow Dave; That does sound a shite of a day... The worst I've had with seizures (beeing an epileptic meself) was 7 seizures in a day inside of a kitchen (quite possibly the stupidest desicion of the chef to keep me there). Anyways, I hope all is well (asides from the pain...and the license...and the back injury...and I'll shut me mouth or I won't stop :smokingbo)

So what's the doc's problem? Does she think you're just after the meds? I could certainly understand a reevaluation of your condition but don't do it when someone is about to run out of pills.

Damn Dave it sounds like your dealing with a military doc, and your not even in the military.

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope the doc makes things right.

To respond to several posts at once:

A very stern talk has been held with this freakish bitch, I am not one to ever hit a woman but it is a good thing we spoke on the phone. My favorite line was when I told her that it is hard to schedule an appointment or answer your phone while in the midst of a gran mal seizure... wow i could say a lot more here but will try to remain gentlemanly. Needless to say, she is not my doc anymore.

Moro, i guess i can empathize with your situation a little bit now. You deal with a pretty scary malady as far as I am concerned. To play devil's advocate for a sec. Let's assume it was not my meds that caused the seizure and i end up having epilepsy myself. Can you tell when you are about to have one? Does it get easier to recover? Hit me with a little info if you don't mind talking about it.

eodcole,I don't know what the hell she thought. I asked her if the resistance was due to a concern that I was abusing or selling the drugs and she denied it. I could actually understand all of this if she had reason to be suspicious. However, after a couple years and no incidents you would think that she might believe that i am actually there to try and maintain my health and not in search of drugs. Dumb bitch.

Crypto, thanks for the well wishes. I agree that she took a somewhat military like approach to this whole thing. As for making it better, the only thing I can think of that she could do would be to get her hooked on Xanax, steal her pills abruptly, and then watch her have a seizure. Demented I know, but after doing a bit of reading, being in this type of seizure for longer than 5 minutes poses some serious risks......brain damage and possibly death. This was really no joke and i still get immediately enraged when I think that all she had to do was refill a presciption. Rant over.

Thanks all for your support and well wishes.

A'right; for anyone curious on epilepsy, here's some first-hand experience:
There are several types of epilepsy, me having Janz Mioclonic Juvenil Epilepsy. That means briefer seizures, yet I'm completely conscious when they happen. Also it means it could be cured. When I'm about to have a seizure I have enough time to go: Blast! Not again!; yet not enough to go duck-and-cover. Terrible feeling. When having one, people often find themselves impotent as to what to do. Answer is, in the words of four wise men: Let it be. At the most put a pillow under me head. But do not, do not put something in me mouth, for if I bite, it'll be the hardest bite yer fingers will have had (and last one, for human jaw can cut through, seen the photos).
As more and more seizures go by, ye only get used to them; yet no difference is noted (it's supposed to kill some brain cells, so that could be the answer to me stupidity, though...).
I hope that answers yer question. Any more doubts, PM me (anyone).

My response to this as with the public and family members is that i'm in no way a doctor but more of a medically trained first responder. But yes in my experience I have seen them from overdose on prescribed meds, Pts off of meds. Brain bleeds or clots (trauma related)

This excerpt is from Mayo Clinic site and is always one of the most imfomative places on the Web

"A grand mal seizure — also known as a tonic-clonic seizure — features a loss of consciousness and violent muscle contractions. It's the type of seizure most people picture when they think about seizures in general.

Grand mal seizure is caused by abnormal electrical activity throughout the brain, so signs and symptoms typically involve the entire body. In some cases, this type of seizure is triggered by other health problems, such as extremely low blood sugar or kidney failure. However, most grand mal seizures occur as a result of epilepsy.

Grand mal seizure affects all ages. This variety of seizure can occur just once or may recur throughout life. It takes at least two seizures to justify a diagnosis of epilepsy. Daily anti-seizure medications can control grand mal episodes for most people"

Common Causes:
Very low blood levels of glucose, sodium, calcium or magnesium
Traumatic head injuries
Using or withdrawing from drugs, including alcohol
Infections such as meningitis or encephalitis
Brain tumors
Blood vessel malformations in the brain or stroke

Hope this helps
Justin
