I have some boxes that I just can't part with like ones signed by the big guns in the industry, or cool boxes like the Frank and Drac.

I also have some nice boxes that I could part with, but don't know what to do with them, like an empty SW Maddy box, or a clear havana box over fifty years old.

Then I have all the empty boxes I got just in case I need a box of some size to organize a stash of single into a humidor with. Nice enough of a box to hang onto, but it's sitting empty.

Anyway, what do you all do with the boxes you can't part with and the one's you can part with?

I keep my signed boxes, and collectibles, like Drac Frankand Boris on display. I organized all my little pocket parts in my workbech is 7 or 8 different boxes. Wood screws here, machine screws in this one. odd connectors over here. After that I figure the kids can craft em, or I can ship stuff in em.

I have been saving a bunch of boxes that I really like, maybe I will make something out of them someday....

As for the ones I don't want, I have a hard time just throwing them away, I feel as though I have to much invested into them or something LOL, I usually give them to a friend that needs a box for something..

Pretty obvious for me, clocks, lamps and other little knick knacky things. I have them stacked up in the basement, those I won't ever use, make good kindling in the fire pit. Cedar boxes burn real nice.

My wife has a friend that takes some of them to make purses out of. Others are just sitting around. I will occasionally ask if anyone needs some on a forum and get rid of them that way. I don't have a place to display my keepers yet, maybe a weekend project after I am done with exams.

I have a bunch of different empty cigar boxes I buy from my B&M for $1 or $2 apiece. They're just so nice I can't help picking up a few almost every time I go. Made a spare humi out of one, store various odds & ends in a few others, and all of the others . . . well, I put them all in a big box.

I keep playing with the idea of taking my prized boxes and mounting them to the wall of my porch where I smoke close to the ceiling to look at, but I'd hate to see the weather destroy them over the years. Don't ever see myself with a walk in, but that would be sweet even if most of the boxes were empty. I have two large cabinets that hold about 1200 cigars combined and not having more room is my sanity check when I want to buy more cigars.

I've turned a few into clocks, but mostly I use them to store odds and ends or just keep it on a shelf to fill in where a bunch of books should be...

I was hanging on to a few. But I recently gave some away to a brother in need. The others I offered up on the board.

I actually started a project with them in my kitchen. I have vaulted ceiling and the top of my cabinets are only half way up the wall. Do I have been stacking them in all different ways up the length of the wall. Then the plan is to have vines growing up and through them when I am done...but that is still awhile away! A lot more boxes are needed to wrap it up!

Mine are used for crayon boxes, junk boxes, and whatever else comes up. I also use them for shipping. I keep telling myself I'm going to make a music box out of one someday. I just haven't made the time.
