What Kind of Car

Well i figure since i dont know what i want for my new ride i figure ill ask for any suggestion. so if any of you brothers want to through your .02 in go for it. things to consider:

Im 19
college student
wisconsin
parents home is about 1:30 north
Max price of 7,000

First, where in the state are you going to college? Second, is Menomonie the only area you go to, or are you someone who likes heading off into the woods and stuff?

If you're looking for gas mileage, a used Honda/Toyota would suit you just fine. If you need something with a bit more off-road or at least dirt-road capability, perhaps a used Jeep would be an idea...they're nearly bullet proof (at least mine has been) and if taken care of well I've heard many instances of the engines lasting well past 200k miles.

for wisconsin? I'd suggest a used suby outback. Reliable, all wheel drive, decent gas mileage, bullet proof.
