Because i enjoy doing reviews, i often have the dilemma of making
the time to not only smoke the cigar, but actually writing the review
simultaneously. As a result, a lot of times, due to time constraints i
end up doing neither. I've been acquiring some great sticks and have
started to have a pretty good choice of smoking good at it pertains
to NC, but i guess my dilemma is, do i just smoke for the sake of smoking,
and enjoying it and "miss" the opportunity to share my experience with the
rest of you brothers?

Any of you have similar experiences or thoughts?

many times i grab something just to smoke. i'm not going to sit and think about it. i just want to have something i like while i'm doing something else. that's when it;s good to have an "everyday" smoke. it's one i enjoy, but not something i need to experience!

+1. thats a tough call man...

when i have that issue, i normally go to a more common smoke that most have tried...and save my harder to get sticks for when i have more time.

I usually jot down notes while smoking and sit down to write the review when I have the time. Can be a little much to try to write the complete review while smoking.

Sharing is nice but don't complicate it so you don't have the time to relax and enjoy a quiet time for yourself.

I think I know somewhat how you feel, I'm kind of new to smoking on a regular basis but in the midst of good weather I often find my self thinking that it would be a good time to take out the camera and review a smoke. The only problem is that most of the sticks I have are more common ones that have been well reviewed or that other brothers smoke plenty of. I do however have a few sticks that are a little harder to find that I'm saving for occasions where I have some extra time and can justify smoking something special thats worth writing about.

Like whats been said before it sounds like your best bet is just to stick to "every day" or "regular" smokes you enjoy until you find your self with a little extra time review something different, like Alwayslit said the last thing you want to do is take something you enjoy and complicate it.

Excel, smoke the cigar for "your" enjoyment....never feel compelled to write a review about every cigar you smoke my friend!

(But you do write some damn good reviews, and the pic's are pretty damn good too!)

I just enjoy smoking watching TV or reading a book. I have tried reviews but really don't want to think so hard when I smoke all the time.

Ciagrs are meant to be enoyed...On your schedule!

always great to read a review and see what folks like (or dislike) about a given cigar.

Having said all this, I also feel EXACTLY the same way as you do with the dilemma.... I love writing reviews, but I need a certain set of circumstances to do so effectively....And I also have a lot of great smokes resting in the humi, calling my name!!

Smoke the stick and jot down a couple of notes...then write the review later! That's what I do. I like to focus on the cigar when I'm smoking it, rather than worrying about writing.

Hope your problem gets solved!!

Sometimes a cigar is just a smoke.
Yeppers!!! What he said!!!
Although I really like your reviews the cigar is for your pleasure first and for-most. I think you should just enjoy the experience as it was ment to be and then if your smoking a stick that really hits a grand slam make that one a review. This is what I do. Sometimes when your trying to evaluate a cigar it can actually ruin the enjoyment IMHO!!
