I was curious as to what everyone thought was a good liquor to drink while smoking a cigar. I have heard everything from whiskeys to scotches to bourbons. I usually don't drink anything while smoking a cigar as I know that it may affect the flavor, so I thought I would pick the brains and taste buds of the community and see what everyone thinks.

I figured that Coffee and Milk would screw with the flavors of the cigars.... Maybe I am wrong?

+1...im not of age, but we smoke with my friends dad who really enjoys that burbon :drool:

I usually smoke a cigar without an accompanying drink but when I do its usually Jameson's Irish whiskey, if its not available I go in search of another good whiskey (Bushmills usually), if not then I'll settle for scotch (most often Famous Grouse). I also on occasion will take bourbon with a cigar, when I do I prefer Wild Turkey.
When it comes to pairing Cigars and drink its to each persons own taste, it doesn't have to be alcoholic but it may be. My two cents is to hit up your local cigar lounge and try as many different parings as you can every week with your favorite cigars until you find something that works for you.

Most of the time I drink water while smoking cigars. I also am not of age but I must admit the world of wine is quite intriguing and attractive to me...patience will payoff one day? I hope so!
Also, I found a fancy in drinking Coke after a cigar finish has left my mouth and all that is left is a residual nicotine and tobacco (I mostly experience this said taste from more full-bodied cigars). Coke-washing afterwards tastes really good to me!

If I'm on an everyday smoke, anything goes...Usually a 7&7 on cigar nights.
If it's a really nice smoke, aged smoke, or any smoke that I am reviewing OR tasting for the first time; then I don't want anything to skew my palate.
