Well basically I am getting limited engough in my storage to where I can't buy anymore cigars until I either get a new humidor or smoke more, so I'm going to do both. :smokingbo I was wondering if anyone had a good recomendation for a decent humidor that will hold 100-150 cigars but isn't too expensive. Thanks for the help!

well right now target is having a sale on vinotemp wine coolers

I think they are going to be 139.99 and if you sign up for a target red card or w.e. its called you can get another 10% off. BUT if you get a vinotemp you will need to get about 1lb of beads from heartfelt or get some kitty litter (see the kitty litter vs. beads thread) and maybe some spanish cedar slats for shelves (i got mine from rockler, they cut it to the exact size i needed and were relatively inexpensive 30 bucks for enough to do 6 shelves)

This is probably the best route imho

Also if you need a few empty boxes to fill some space while you slide down this slippery slope just shoot me a pm, ill be more than happy to send you some of my extras and maybe a few to get you started

if the fridge is out of the budget, a igloo cooler orks as well. I love my Fridge-a-dor, but mine came at the best price possible FREE. If you are going to spend $150+ on a desktop humi, then buy the Vinotemp. You'll be set for a while that way.

I would also go with the Vinotemp or like Dave said a coolador.
You can go with a 100 - 150 count but in another few months you will probably be wanting more space. I know I am and will probably be making a purchase on a Vinotemp soon.

Coleman 150 quart ice chect. It will get you through the next six months. See the cooledor thread. I have numerous 150 to 500 count humidors. After a while you run out of places to put them. The coolers stach nicely.

Hey thanks for the help guys. I think I am going to go with the wine cooler like Matt suggested because that is pretty much around what I was looking to spend and it seems like it will hold a good amount of cigars which just means more room to expand. I was thinking about the coolerdor option, but I like the added cooling that the vinotemp option provides expecially in the 100+ degree weather we have been having here lately. Thanks again for all your suggestions.

Why the empty boxes to fill space? I'm thinking it's to limit the amount of air exchange so you don't have to replace all that humidity when you open the vinotemp (like keeping your humi 3/4 full). Is that correct?

Pretty much right Rick. The wood in the boxes will also hold humidity, and will help prevent spikes and valleys in RH levels.

So is that what you ended up going with? How is it working out for you?

I'm using a coolerdor temporarily for now, but I'm going to buy a vinotemp once I head back to my apartment once school starts again. I'll post some cigar porn once I make the purchase don't worry!
