What would you want to see in a manly auction basket?

Later this month our church will have their annual silent auction garden party for missions. Last year someone did a cigar basket that was fairly lame. So I volunteered to do onw this year. So far my B&M has donated a 20 count Vega Fina humidor with 10 cigars. I'll be filling it up with some of my own. I need some suggestions of other "manly" things. I'm thinking range time at the local firing range, a flask, some single malt. What entice you to bid on something?

I personally am not a golfer! But maybe talk to a local golf course and see if they would help out with a gift certificate for a round of golf! I know ALOT of guys love golfing!

Alcoholic beverages, tickets to a local sporting event, merchandise or gift cards to local sporting goods stores. Heck a nice gas grill always draws attention, but that may be a bit much ;-)

check out Lowes or Home Depot, I like the grill idea, see if they would donate one and then put the humi and cigars in the grill. I'd bid on that...

I did something similar and the local car wash company threw in 5 free washes. Which to me was really nice. I hate washing my car, but love seeing it shiny. Other than that I would only be repeating what other guys said. Some very good ideas. I find that companies are very generous when it comes to things like this.

We are Presbyterian, so alcohol is fine. Actually they provide beer and wine at the auction.

Well I was going to say tickets to a local strip club, with 20 one dollar bills , but never mind ....

Tickets to a ballgame or other sporting event, fishing trip , pole and/or tackle. Since you're in Charlotte, might be pretty easy to get a ride-shotgun or racing experience with a NASCAR driver donated by one of the racing teams....I'd bid on that until I maxed out a credit card or two.

The Nascar experience tickets would be killer, but I don't know how much you are looking to invest.

The steak idea from the butcher is another great idea. Steaks, scotch, and cigars. Sounds like a pretty boss weekend to me.
