Just wondering what you guys like the most about a cigar. Flavor, aroma, the look of it, stuff like that.

I personally love the look of the cigar. To me, there is nothing like a dark, oily, perfectly rolled cigar. I'm smoking a Cain F Torp as I type this and boy is it good looking!

Cheers,
Brian

I love everything. The look of it is attractive the smell is nice but by far the best part of a cigar should always be the flavor. Otherwise there's a problem.

The end that's giving me smoke??.......okay seriously. The smell, draw, and burn are all key components in enjoying the experience.

While the flavor and smoke are important factors ... the look and smell help me too. We're visual beings and how things look to us influence our decisions - about a lot of things.

When I'm expanding my humi and palate I use how the sticks look a lot. The dark, oily, nice to the touch and initial smell go a long way in helping me select a new stick.

But the worst part is the last draw just before I quit.

later,

I think Ill agree with Flavor since its the obvious choice. But for me, aroma is definitely second. When I was a kid, my neighborhood friend's dad was always outside smoking a cigar in the summer time and I can distinctly remember the aroma as it came wafting across the street. Every now and then Ill be smoking a cigar and catch that same aroma. It takes me back, and I enjoy that. :)

The flavor, aroma aspects are key for me...

But I have to admit that the visual is a big thing, too. Some cigars are just sexy looking! With that being said, the sexy looking cigars are not always the best tasting cigars!

I gotta admit, there's a bunch of cigars that suffice for me, and I don't know if this answer will suffice or not, but I love the mood it sets while I'm enjoying one. Don't get me wrong, I love a great tasting cigar, but to me it's simply a device, or a tool if you will, to achieve that beautiful "the wife's not around, it's peace and quiet, and I'm enjoying a nice cigar" bliss! :cbig:

firstly is probly a tie between the band coolness factor and how much more it cost. limtadas preferred. easily sencond id say is color- oscuros are the shit. third, i dont know, maybe stick name?? but the flavor seems like a given goodness from the top band coolness of factory name types producer growers.

Flavor and aroma. The look, too, from the band to the shape––a nice lancero or panatela, for whatever reason, are attractive to me at the moment.

Flavor and aroma are paramount of course but I find the more factors that come together during the enjoyment of a cigar (draw, burn, appearance etc.) the more truly enjoyable the smoke ends up becoming. For instance if a cigar has an outstanding Flavor/Aroma but does not draw well and produce enough smoke or say needs constant touching up, I find it can be enough of a nuisance to ruin an otherwise great smoke for me.

Got to be flavor and just relaxing while enjoying it. Might just be me but I like the way they look in the boxes and the anticipation of opening the box.
