Whenever I burn one of my Pinar Del Rio's I can't seem to get the wrapper to burn. I'm constantly purging & relighting to get the outside to burn. I've kept them in different humidors at different humidities between 65 to 72% and still seems not to make any difference. Anyone else have this type of problem? I love these smokes, but this problem is really frustrating me!:angryteet

I've only ha one (oscuro), by had the same experience--wouldn't burn to save it's life. I'm letting my others rest a while, an then will dry-box prior to smoking.

I have only smoked once but I had burn problems too. I had to touch it up a few times which was a minor incovience. All in all it was worth it as it was a good smoke.

I have read several posts on other boards describing the exact same problem you are having.

I believe they have now changed the binder to help remedy this problem on the Oscuro's they produce now. I believe that is what Abraham told me when I spoke to him, but he is on this forum so if he sees this maybe he can answer with 100% certainty.

Anytime I find a cigar that seems to have a wrapper that doesn't want to burn I make a note of it so that in the future I know to give it a good 3 day dry boxing before torching it for my smoking pleasure. Works for me.

I bought a sampler, same problems, not one was an enjoyable smoke because of wrapper issues. I gave up on them.

Weird. I've had two double perfectos (clasico and sun grown) and a robusto (sun grown) and they all burned fine. I dryboxed them before hand though. The only issues I've run into is the wrapper being a little flaky.

Both of my boxes are from the end of 2008... got them mid year this year. The oscuros always seemed a bit wet...
