Ive been wanting to try either the Tat el Triunfador (not sure which # suggestions welcomed) or the Tat Ambos Mundos but cant decide which one to get a 5 pack of first. My Cigar budget is only gonna allow me to get one 5 pack so I need some help.
which to buy Tat el Triunfador or Tat Ambos Mundos?

There's the El Tri original lancero that has a broadleaf wrapper which are really good, it's basically a Cabaiguan lancero with a maduro wrapper. Then the El Tri line that has about six different sizes which is completely its own blend and nothing like the maduro version. I personally like the short corona and the lancero in this line. It's what a consider a mild smoke.
Like it was said the Lancero and the regular line are two different blends; each # is a different size (vitola) in the line. I really like both the OR Lancero as well as the current release. The Lancero is better IMO, but combined with the fact that the regular line can be found in some places for an obnoxiously good price they both pretty much even out.
You won't be disappointed with the El Triunfador. Try it with your morning coffee

Warning. Once you go Lancero, you might never go back. They are just that awesome. Hard to find a bad one IMO because they are so small and there just isn't that much margin for error. I have half my Wineador dedicated to them.
I have 5 El Tri lanceros in there right now. Also, IMO the best place to find lanceros is Atlantic Cigar. I find that their search engine is second to none. I don't care how fancy shmancy a website looks, if I can't navigate it easily, I go elsewhere. Just my $.02.

I like them both but I think the Ambos Mundos Sumatra with a year on it is better than regular production El Triunfador. If you can find the Ambos Mundos Sumatra with the old bands, believe me you won't be disappointed. If you're going to smoke them young and you can't get them from a shop that's been sitting on them for a while, El Triunfador.
Ambos Mundos Habano on the other hand, not even close to being that good.
