While I'm not certain I agree with him, I will say that since I am trying to determine which Bourbon is right for me, I have picked up a number or mini's and found the taste to be different based on which I partake of first.

The more whiskey/bourbon the better the taste of the cigar....much like sex in that at the start of it if it doesn't "taste" right add some whiskey/bourbon and who cares? Draw any implication and stir.
