Wine Drinkers?

Hello,

I'm looking for some people who know a thing or two about wine to answer some questions for an upcoming article. All different levels of knowledge would be great (and I assume, since you are on here, you'll have experience with the leaf) - I just have a few questions and am trying to get a range of responses.

I know more about beer but I know a bit about wine. There are a few guys here that I'm sure are well versed in wines.

Anyhow what sort of questions I'll help how I can.

Used to be into wines, big time, but gave up in the mid 90's as prices went crazy. I refuse to pay $100+ a bottle for wine I bought for a third of that before. I still maintain a cellar of 300+ bottles. I look for bargain (undiscovered) wines now instead of big labels. That strategy has paid off fairly well with getting great wines in the $20 to $30 range. I have a buddy in Sonoma that always leads me into good deals. Used to spend $10 K a year with him just for wine.

I have a modest collection of about 125 bottles comprised of mostly Cabernet. Nothing too spectacular...bottles ranging from $15-$125. I actually use my wine fridge for wine! I think that's something strange on here haha.

I do but don't pair it with cigars. I don't find they pair well.
