back about 20 years ago, the WHO(world health organization) came out with a report stating second hand smoke does NOT cause lung cancer, right around the same time reports were coming that cigarette smoke causing lung cancer. A few months later, FDA found a research reporting second hand smoke causes lung cancer. well surprise, surprise, WHO came out with "new" research stating second hand smoke causes lung cancer, a few month following. So how long will it be till FDA finds 'new' research strongly linking cigar smoke to cancer?

Just to play devil's advocate here, that site is self admittedly a pretty biased site. While their representation of the study is accurate TTBOMK, when investigating things like this, it's always better to go to the source and read the study yourself (if you are able to). Here is the study I think they are referring to:
http://cancercontrol.cancer.gov/brp/tcrb/monographs/9/
I read it a few months ago, and concluded the same as their post (i.e. 1 to 2 cigars a day posed a negligible risk of death due to smoking). In fact, the very slight (2 in a 1000) increase in death from any cause could be attributed in the fact that the average cigar smoker isn't necessarily running marathons and eating salads.
The worst case scenario that they studied was 5 cigars a day with moderate inhalation! (and that's what the warnings assume)... who has time to smoke 5 cigars a day? and inhales?.... seriously FDA? GFY.

I've seen reference to this study before. Question is, what do they consider a cigar? A Corona, Torpedo, Churchill, or one of those 6" x 60 jaw breakers? I personally average 2 to 3 cigars a day, but they are usually Coronas, petite Coronas, or Robs. I also eat very healthy and workout, so I'm not too worried.
