I had a cigar get a little damage in shipping, where the wrapper is unravelling a little above the band. If I took the band off it would be history.

Is there anything you do to try to fix that so it can be smoked?

Cigar glue may help, most B&M's should have it.

You can also use a bit of pectin slightly watered down. You can find Pectin in the canning section of your grocery store- goo in a foil packet. If you don't want to hunt down the "El Torcedor" Cigar Glue.

Ditto on the pectin, which essentially is the same as the adhesive used to fasten the cap to the cigar when it's rolled.

It is ruined...send it to me, I will dispose of it by burning it for you.

Ha ha, you already have the good answers, both work well.

Grape Jam... I used it to fix an old Monte #2... did the trick, and did not make the stick taste like grape...

I've either moved the band over the damage, or place another band on the damaged section to prevent any unraveling. Once I smoke to the band, the band comes off.

If I place a second band on the cigar, I use tape to tape the band on snuggly.
