Wow, Thought I would post this picture. Both sticks are Liga Privada T52 Flying Pigs. The darker wrapper is from a box I purchased back in January, the lighter wrapper from a box given to me for my Birthday recently. Both boxes are from the same B&M and same release (as far as I know). I know there is always some variation in wrapper color but that looks like two different wrappers to me.

So is it age, the darker stick being in my humidor for 9 months and the lighter being in a sealed box? Just a variation in color? Or Something else?

I can say the lighter colored wrapper does not seem to have quite as much flavor.

Interested in everyones thoughts!

Tim

even with age, i haven't seen any of the ligas varying that much in color. (although recent dirty rats do seem a bit lighter). that seems especially strange for pigs.

Very strange indeed. I haven't seen that much variation in color between them. Of course, I tend to never be able to find pigs either.

I have seen very noticeable variations in shades on 9's even out of the same box but not that drastic. That's pretty significant.

Fair Question:

While each box should be color sorted as close to uniform color as possible, it is possible that a few lighter color wrappers snuck in due to the limited nature of the product. Sometimes, to complete a box in a limited product, when there simply arent any more cigars to find spot on color, a packaging girl has the discretion to not waste a beauty like T52 Pig.

Should be the same in taste and aroma, within normal variance.

I would have smoked it if she would have showed me. LOL

Best,
JD

The Feral Pig should be right around the corner if the timing for this round is the same as years prior. I still wish I had access to some more #9 Piggies. I am down to my last three from two boxes and knowing they are my last three I am having a hard time setting fire to them.:dunno:

What is the diff between the feral and regular?
Just another blend as every blend has been different. The #9 was a spicy Powerhouse while the T-52 in my opinion was very dialed back. If memory serves me correct from a Facebook post by JD, I think this years will be bigger than years prior and it will be ramped up in flavor more like the #9 Pig maybe a little more kick than the #9 I forget exactly.
