it's good, but not great. Definitely a contender if they clean it up and enhance it further. It looks just like text messages but has peoples names on it in the stream. Bad thing is that you can't "add" someone to an existing group. You need to start an entirely new message to add them.
This is what I saw as well. I defiantly do not see this being as good as what bbm seems to be. It seems limited, and nothing more then another way to send text messages without being charged. Thing is I have unlimited texting anyway, so to me it serves no real purpose.

I have both phones, I love my iphone 4s for the apps available and ease of use and so on. I love the blackberry for BBM. At this time the iphone will not stick it to bbm with the way their imessage is set up. It is the only thing I was let down by with the latest update.

b2 is a prime example of being a BoM going straight to his head. Dick.:boxing: lol

iPhone is just a mp3 player. And a movie player. And a web browser. And video game console. Email processor. eReader. Telephone. And (when we get the iMessanger thing sorted out) a BB killer.

Although a little disappointed by the update. Lots of potential in my opinion, but not there yet. Any one else willing to offer up their phone number so I can do a little group test? I have centex's so far.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Blackberry has done a great job with bbm but I am surprised that apple never stepped up with this new release. As much as I love my BB apple seems to have been out pacing them on pretty much everything lately. I do expect that they will eventually put out a great product or as rumours have been wait for the iPhone and Android BBM apps. Posted via Mobile Device

iMessage isn't BBM in any way shape or form from what I can see. I suppose you could start a message with a group of people and call that a "group", but all it really is is an ongoing message trail. It is just like how the iPhone handles text messages now.

Don't get me wrong, I love it in that as soon as the wife gets her phone we'll be able to clear up all those text messages back and forth from our text allotment for the month, but I don't see this being anything like what I've heard BBM described as.
