It's a $1 cigar, what are you expecting. In my experience $1 sticks range from unsmokeable to decent yard gar. Time in the humi sometimes helps but depends on what your needs are.

Now if people are going to get "*#$@faced" then a good cigar is going to be wasted on em, but if its chill and really want something special may have to pop for something a bit more pricey.

What's your timeline, if you got some time might want to search the auction sites, if your patient can find some solid smokes for $40-$60 box or bundle.

What I've found is the value of these samplers usually ends up breaking even. You'll probably get a few nice sticks, a few decent sticks, and a bunch of dog rockets. It's not in a business' best interest to sell a bunch of premium sticks for nothing. I normally shy away from "grab bags".

That being said, if it's for a bachelor party, I'd definitely go for it. Most of the guys won't care, or won't be sober enough to notice, and you can snag the couple nice sticks. If you're expecting 20 premium sticks you'd be disappointed, but if you're expecting the aforementioned you'll get what you paid for. IMHO, this is perfect for a bachelor party.

Yeah I'm not expecting premium smokes but because it's pretty a grab bag I didn't know if anyone picked this up.

The'll be hand rolled cigars. My guess is most don't smoke cigars. To them, anything better than a grape philly is premium brother. I once gave my sister-in-law's boyfriend a very nice cigar. He said it's hard for him to smoke cigars because he smoked a cigar called a Winston Churchill and hasn't found a good cigar since. I thought he was referring to the size until I realized it's a line of Davidoff... I figured this guy might know what he's doing. I handed him a very nice cigar and a cutter, and he proceeded to cut a good inch (not an exaggeration) off. He said that's how the guy at the cigar shop cut his for him... :frownno:

I learned a very valuable lesson that day...

The only other thing I remember is him putting it down after the first third... Turns out the dude is a tool. He's the classic young guy with loaded parents and no clue...

I don't remember what cigar it was I gave him, but I DO remember being infuriated because it was one of my nicer sticks...

Sorry about the thread jack

i dont blame you

Back on track now, I like the Brickhouse series. they are great for the price and can be had for $4 if you look. id suggest you try to get the cigars earlier than later, so they can get up to a decent RH, id say the quality or taste of the stick wont matter if its having crazy burn/draw problems. Little things like that could kill even a premium sticks allure.

If its this is happening really soon, id suggest to buy them in a local B&M and maybe pick up an empty cigar box while your at it. 24 hours before the party, throw them in the box to have them dry up a bit. I find cigars smoke better at a lower RH, and if your drunk the burn and draw will be the only thing you really remember

Had a buddy who tried a deal like that and you usually get what you pay. But for 2 to 3 bucks a stick you should be able to find something decent. Tatuaje series P can be had for around 3 dollars a stick.

Yeah I like smokes at a lower rh but these guys won't know or care or know. I'm bringing a 5er of my personal stash so I won't be smoking these unless I run out or Don't feel like I have the time to enjoy it

If you get everyone wasted on booze first it wont really matter what cigar you give them. However if it comes down to spending, you can tell them the first drink is on them for the cigar. The Tat La Raqueza is a nice low budget cigar that will certainly be appreciated in my opinion.

keep an eye out for deals.

CI, Ccom & Monster & many of our sponsers have deals on decent cigars that you can get in the $2.50-$3.00 range.

They arent going to be GOF, but you can grab some Cubau, La Riqueza'a for about $3 a stick.

That way everyone is happy, and everyone gets the same thing and you havent totally blown your budged.

Tat series P is a nice stick for low price-you can get a box at NHC. Perdomo Lot 23 is a good price conscious choice as well. Or for like 45 bucks you can buy a box of Nestor Miranda 1989 from cigar king. Don Tomas Clasico is a pretty good stick for low $ as well and you can get it in tubos (cheapest I could find on tubes is the allegro tubos for about 60 bucks a box at JR).

Not sure what the budget is or how many sticks you need, but for a couple of hundred dollars you can grab a couple of boxes of Padron 2000 or 3000's. Certainly not crap and wont break the bank. Just my 2 cents

Also I second the Tatuaje Serie P & Don Tomas Tubo's. Both are great sticks that have mass appeal and wont break the bank.

Cigar King is a sponsor and a group of great guys. I can't remember a bad cigar from them. Go for it.
