So a few weeks ago I got gifted a nice humidor by stogiecidal. Well I finally got around to making sure it was seasoned and all that, but now I have an empty and guess I gotta fill it. Just when I figured I was good with not buying anymore. But we can't have an empty humi can we.

Throw some suggestions as to what I should get to fill it with.

Fill it with some Little Havana Overurns from Holts. Straight from the Pepin factory at a great price. With a few years age on them they are Dyn-O-Mite!!! Just finished up my last from the 2008 batch a couple months ago and was sad to see them go

Gale these seem to be a little ruffer then the bundles we use to buy in the past imo. Just a heads up if you are getting more.
I like Jims suggestion with the 46s.

Don't rush to fill it. Try several different cigars and buy what you like. My moto is "Smoke what you like and like what you smoke." Once you figure out what you like, you'll want to try aging some. Its a slippery slope, I own 12 cigar now...wink

+1

An empty humi is sad to look at, but when you fill it, you're out of all that extra space you needed! :tiphat:

1.) Padron x000 Maduro or Natural...can't go wrong with either really.
2.) DPG Blue and/or Black...either are great and I go back and forth on which I like better.
3.) Tatuaje PCR...yum.
5.) Diesel Unholy Cocktail
6.) Something Liga Privada

There's some stuff. Realistically though there's so much stuff and not knowing what you like it's hard not to recommend everything. You might not like some stuff I think is great and some stuff you think is great might not do it for me. It all comes down to what you like so I'd stop by your local B&M and just pick up whatever looks or sounds good.

And 3. 5. 6. I have tried and like. Especially the liga privada no.9 (favorite cigar right now). Haven't tried the t52 yet.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Best recommendation is to go into a B&M with a good selection and try a lot of different things. Then once you have some surefire favourite look to load up. We will all have different favourites and one of the worst mistakes when getting into cigars is buying a lot you may not like later.

just to give the OP some reference, there is currently a "budget friendly", "favorite go-to smoke", and "morning smoke" topic going. ALL KINDS of stuff to try on those, if you are looking to branch out.

or, hey, 'tis the season; fill that box up with extra candy!!!

I filled the humi with different smokes I read reviews on or heard about from the marketplace here. It's a great way to network with brothers and it gave me the chance to try things that would otherwise be inaccessible to me.

Personally, you can't go wrong with Viaje, Tats, DPG/MF and ligas. Throw in some Padrons and some FFOX and you already outta space bro!
