Just sparked up an '10 Bolivar Royal Corona. These have been consistently good for me over the past year, but man have they really come into their own lately.

Tonight my senses were greeted with a great tea aroma on the initial toasting of the foot. As I began to enjoy this gem I was overwhelmed by a creamy cinnamon coating my palate with notes of gingerbread and tea. There was a slight spice that came through as well as some enjoyable earthy tobacco. The same profile was noticeable throughout the whole cigar which was a great thing. I really enjoyed this sucker and would easily say it was the best BRC I've ever had.

94/100

Nice review! I love the BRC too, in my Top 5 CCs for sure. Glad to hear the 2010s are in good form, I've only had 1 and thought it had potential but was too young for me. The late 2009s I have are just coming into maturity now, imvho.

Great review. I've had very similar experiences with these.

I've smoked plenty of Montecristo #2s that let me down. I've smoked some Partagas Serie D No. 4s that have let me down. Really, most Cubans I've smoked (out of the same box) were either good, great, or awful. But I'd agree -- I've yet to smoke a Bolivar Royal Corona that was a dud. They've been consistently good.
