Hello all. Just started really getting into cigars about a year ago due in large to some great port calls I have had with the United States Coast Guard. When pulling into port just wanted a place to relax and kick back, I was not really into the whole party thing. Cigar lounges seemed to fit me perfectly, I just wanted a good drink, good cigar and some great people to talk to. Can not wait to dive in and learn more from you guys, seems like a lot of experienced people here. Well God bless you all, and God bless America.

:welcome:

Took my family down to Nassau on vacation the last 2 years. We love it there! Not sure how long you've been there but feel free to drop me a PM if you need info on what's what around there regarding cigars.

Thanks for the offer, that would be great. I actually just had dinner at Graycliff and had a great Cigar from there. Beyond that still trying to find some good spots (moved down here at the end of July). Any suggestions would be great, thanks again. (I would have sent this as a PM but I dont even have the 5 required posts to do that yet)

Ahh chit I was there in September...We are planning on going back next year so hopefully you're still there
I am by no means an expert of Nassau but from my last trip I can suggest what to watch out for.

Never been over there yet but have talked to the people over there on base alot. Doesnt sound like there is much outside of the base so I dont think that you were missing out. If ever coming to New Providence let me know.

Welcome to BOTL! So where's your favorite cigar shop/lounge that you visited before?

There is no LCDH in the Bahamas, that's all I know about lounges there.

Well Graycliff here in the Bahamas is the most recent, and was great. Good drinks, great smoke with a piano player there, the owners were nice and walked around to strike up conversation. Boston I liked, but sheesh cant even remember the name. In Key West there were a lot I tried out (have pulled in there 6 times), but then the Southernmost Cigar Club opened and it is great, really good guys running the shop and a really nice comfortable set up. Def recommended. Other than that, my best memories of the port calls were having cigars with the guys on the beach in GTMO, on various piers in Africa or at the waterfront cafes in Spain and Portugal (nice thing about the Coast Guard, great port calls). Really where ever there are good people and good cigars, thats the best lounge you could ask for. Cause in the end it is the people that make the lounge, not the building you are in.
