Picked up a T-Mobile Samsung Exhibit ll 4G. I am using T-Mobiles new $30 a month, 100 minute talk, Unlimited text and unlimited data plan.

I decided on this combo for 2 reasons.

First, I needed to have a mobile credit card swiper, and the Android does the trick.

Next, I wanted the ability to tether with no additional charges. I loaded PDA Net, and now I can tether my netbook, laptop, and home computer to my Exhibit.

I kept my $30 a month Page Plus/Palm Pixi plan because I wanted a seperate phone to makes calls.

so for $60 a month total for both plans, I have 1300 minutes, unlimited data, tethering, and a credit card swiper.

Mission accomplished.

pretty good.. though T-Mobile's unlimited data is capped at 2GB a month I believe.

unless he's granfathered in to an old plan, however i know a few ways around that by using a VPN.

T-Mobile today announced that they're offering a new $30 data and SMS-centric prepaid plan in conjunction with Walmart. The $30 no-contract plan includes unlimited Internet access and text messages -- and 100 minutes for phone calls, with each additional minute billed out at ten cents per minute. The new plan is targeting those customers who realize voice is now simply data, and/or those who simply use their phone as an Internet device. Of course by "unlimited" data," T-Mobile and Walmart mean you'll be throttled back -- usually to around 256 kbps or so -- after your monthly consumption exceeds 5GB in one month. The plan will be available in WalMart's 2,200 stores and on both the T-Mobile and Wal-Mart's websites starting October 16.

5GB is a lotta data for some people however being throttled to around 256kbps? might as well get a modem and dial-up.
