If you haven't already done so, hop on a ferry from the straw market downtown or grab a cab and head on over to Atlantis on Paradise Island. Havana humidor is located in the shopping concourse beside the casino. It's the official distributor of Habanos SA in the Bahamas. Had a chance to trade cigars and shoot the shiet with the director of operations, Adam Collins. Cool guy and pretty knowledgeable. Plugged our little community here so who know he may be trolling :) Told me that he is currently in discussions with Habanos SA to launch an RE for Bahamas through his store. There's also a custom roller by the name of Ivan Torres who rolls their house blends in shop. Smoked a corona and was pleasantly surprised by it. Solid smoke. The store itself is pretty well stocked in terms of CC's in one humidor (had boxes of the 1966 LE 2011 in September already), with a separate humidor for NC's that from what i could tell was mainly padron anny's and family reserves , no x000 core lines though. Prices are somewhat high but on par with Canadian retail prices. It's ok for the one-off smoke here or there but if you're a baller maybe you'll get to see the HTF's he has hidden in the NC humidor lol (had I seen the video on the interwebs before my trip I would asked him to show me!).

Be weary of the smokes you find all over the Nassau aside from the Graycliff and Havana Humidor. If you find any hidden gems there please share! Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up. There was actually just a country festival here and for Cuba's the Havana Humidor guys were out there selling theirs and were rolling. I wasnt expecting to find cigars so only bought enough cash to buy a Cohiba that they had. I had looked at their place that night and they look solid (as you said a little pricey, but so are most things here in the Bahamas), now that you recommend it though I will need to at least head over there this week. And yea, found out quickly to be warry of the smokes sold here...guess that they get the tourists big time. Tourists figure "since Cubans are legal here, then these must be legit." False...just means they can rip you off all the more...

If you happen to bump into Adam tell him the Hamlet Canadian guy Shaun said hey! I almost fell for it too until I actually looked at them closer when I was shopping downtown and said whoa! Its amazing just how much are sold in every shop all over. All two banders too! I could have come home with a BHK 56 and a siglo IV gran reserva for under $20 a stick lol

Hope you're still there next year hope to meet up and share a smoke.

Ill be sure to tell him if I see him, I assume he is one of the workers there? Yea, this place is stocked with fakes, some easier to spot then others. Sadly I have given up trying to find them, for now until I find someone here to direct me to the legit ones, figure while I am here need to take advantage of the CC.

Ill still be here next year, that would be great to share one if you come this way. Hopefully by then Ill have a few more cigars under my belt.

Adam Collins is the director of operations over at Havana Humidor...D'OH sorry I messed up the name earlier lol....

I'd imagine you're in pretty much the same scenario as I am....too expensive to build a stash locally with limited selection. As most have said site sponsors is a great place to start. After a certain amount of time and posts the marketplace opens up for you as well. I tend to take advantage of what the brothers here are selling.

Like this year, I'll definitely be bringing up some goodies to share :)

Have not been down but have been fortunate to have a brother send me a couple HH's in the past. Actually thought that they were pretty damn good cigars! Welcome to the BOTL and enjoy your stay!
