I am having some of this with a God Of Fire right now. My first time trying it. Very nice fairly heavy rum with rich molasses taste and nutty (Venezuela). A tiny burn at the end, but nothing major. I recommend this stuff. I got my bottle at Costco for $28. Good buy.

Never had Diplomatico, I'll have to check it out when I'm back in the States. My favorites right now are Zaya and RZ Centenario, along with HC7 and HC CBP, then RZ 23 would probably take the #5 spot (I find it no smoother than a 12-year Scotch, unlike the other rums mentioned, good flavor, though).
The first time I ever had this was with aquarich and I'm with him on this, MY FAVORITE RUM! I can't believe it's available at costco now, AMAZING!!! This shit was hard to get a few years ago, almost as hard as HC.
If you're a Costco regular, you know that shit tends to be available there and when the stock runs out....you never see it again. I'm gonna snag a few more bottles before the still goes dry.

I think it will be realesed next year in the US, the producers was here in Sweden last month presenting it. I have arranged for the importers of Diplomatico so hold a rum testing at the herf (swedens biggest) I am hosting here in Gävle next month. Will probabl be a bunch of pictures again and I will post a thread about it.
