My new dog

this little guy was running around the neighborhood for 3 days. He wouldnt go near anyone. Finally, he went to a lady who lived just a few houses away. Poor little guy was hungry, underweight, and afraid of people. The neighbor approached me about taking the dog, and I couldnt say no. When I took him home, he was so afraid that he was shaking like a leaf. It winds up that he was and still is afraid of men. I guess he gotten beaten by a man at some point in his life.

anyway, he is now king of the castle. He is attached to me like no other dog that I have ever owned. I am used to owning big, tough dogs like Boxers and American Bulldogs. I now have a dog that I have to protect instead of it protecting me...LOL.

seeing the change in this little mutt makes me happy, and has really changed my heart about adopting stray animals.

Looks like a great dog! Any idea what kind of a mix he is? How long have you had him for. It is a great feeling to see a change in strays when you take them in. My dog is a "potcake" what they call a stray down here and seeing him change completely is well worth it. Well congrats, seems like he made the transition to being your dog nicely!

2 vets have told me that he looks like a mix of chihuahua/terrior/jack russell

Cute dog.... My wife got 1 very similar looking from a shelter many years ago and she's been a great dog... I always said it looks a little like a Dingo
