Well I've been on a mission to get my hands on some of the rarer and bigger champagne bottles to put beer into. I love having parties or going to parties and what better way to have a party then to uncork a giant bottle of homebrew! Just so you know from left to right there's a 6L, 3L, then 1.5L, 750mL, and 375mL. There is a size between the 3L and 6L which is a 4.5L but I think they're rather uncommon. I'm on the prowl for a 9L and a 12L. Sure it's ridiculous but it's fun!

These are the rare bottles I will buy empty. I refuse to pay for empty beer bottles and champagne bottles. I would rather just drink the product clean the bottles and recycle them. Bottles this size has a rather cost prohibitive downfall when it comes to my buy it full and drink it method.

Added a new member to the family of giant bottles I have. Say hello to the new big poppa the 9L Salmanazar. The 9L bottle is equivalent to 12 of the standard sized 750mL bottles just like you see to it's immediate left. The smallest is again a 375ml. With a 6L and a 3L to it's right.

At this point I have three 3L bottles filled. One has a sour blond ale made off a base saison recipe I use. Then I have a beer that is tasting a bit like Orval in a 3L and a Belgian Dubbel. Next will be my Dark Strong ale/Quad to be stuffed in a 3L bottle. I will eventually brew a tripel and stick that in one as well. I see a Trappist style party being held at my party with my 3L bottles being the center of attention.
