NOOOOOOOO! Though well deserved, now EVERY person (especially those who look to CA for advice) is going to take my Guapos!

I read CA for the articles.
While a joke, this is true. The writing is spotty quality at best, but the topics are well chosen. I usually flip to connesueir's corner and then jump article to article. I hope those conn corner cigars are burned more than 1" though...

It isn't a cigar magazine, which we all know.

I actually enjoy the 15th from RP. That and the Winter 2009 were the only 2 sticks he made that I've liked. I don't know about #6 this year but I also don't disagree with it being there like some. That's why I love these lists, so much of it is personal taste. I tell the guys who come in with the list every year the same thing.

I love these lists, I can always use a good laugh. The Cigar Journal Top 25 of 2011 is a joke too.

No kidding. It would be a crying shame if they don't finish those Dunhills and 50 year old rarities.

The cigar section is really just cigar porn for me (hence my joke). But you're right, the "lifestyle" articles are pretty decent. And I actually like Mott and Savona, review practices aside.

Odd choices so far, but I guess so.

Much rather prefer the Guapo tho, and the Warlock??? Seriously?!??

I'm not pleased with finding out they only smoke an inch, but on that same note, I will say the 15th is the only RP I've ever smoked and enjoyed enough I grabbed another later on down the road after killing off the first two sticks I grabbed to try. That's saying a lot for RP seeing as usually if my choices are smoking a RP stick or nothing, I'll choose nothing.

If the Tatuaje Black PL doesn't get on this list, I would be disappointed... along with another NC, the EPC New Wave Connecticut Stellas. I've been reading this mag less and less over the years. The recent Nov/Dec 2011, Havana issue was good. That said, I actually find myself looking at the Cigar Insider more... let's see what the rest of the list looks like.

Agreed. Even though the Black PL is my least favorite of the Blacks. I'd love to see it garner some attention.

That said, I read the Havana issue last night, and was expecting to turn the page and be pitched a vacation time share on the next page. My CA reading has gone way down, and to be so let down in what was supposed to be such an important issue, probably was the nail in the coffin for how much I care about CA anyways.

"The new cigars big, bold taste comes from a specially selected Ecuadorian Cubano wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and sumptuous blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.Connoisseurs of robust, rustic smokes will be left spellbound by Warlocks powerfully intoxicating flavor."

Wouldn't you like to know?

After having been to Havana a few times I absolutely love the issue. One of the worst things about Havana is the lack of god info. I think they hit on most of the highlights. Food is usually a sore spot for most that visit and this hit upon most of my favorite places. Shops in Havana can also be a little on the sketchy side and they hit most of the great shops. after I read it I called the guy who has pretty much been my tour guide on Havana and it was like he wrote it.
