All this talk about Andy's frozen custard has got me thinking and talking about it non-stop...mentioned it to the wife and now she's wanting to try some too! Think I found a place here in Toronto. Nice day out gonna bring the fam and try some.

Have fun Shaun! I imagine the kids will love it, even if it isn't Andy's.

I've had custard 2-3 times, and it is much better than soft serve... but I have never had the custard that rich raves about, it was just plain flavors, nothing like "Andy's"

From the pics on andy's site, it does not look like it comes out of a machine like soft serve?

Like 'em both equally depending on my mood but prefer a nice hot bowl of homemade soup to either.

It is made in a custard machine, very different than a soft serve machines Danilo.
Wonder why rich decided to put it up against soft serve and not ice cream in general?
I think there is a frozen custard place near my parents house, have to give it a try...

Custard machines are cool, it looks like home made fudge coming out, really thick! They don't use ice cream scoopers, they use custard dippers. A dipper kinda looks like a paddle or something and you dip it in the tub and hence the phrase "I'll take a double dipper!"

Mike do you know the history of Leons? I think they got there start from a company in St Louis?
