In late December, I watched Duke City Cigars offer progressively larger blanket percentage-off discounts and sell off most of their stock without re-stocking (their website made it easy to see their whole inventory at a glance).

Now their home page is a blank page, their phones are disconnected, and they don't return emails.

Obviously, all indications are that they're going out of business. Does anyone have any definite information about this?

I'll be sorry to see them go, as they were a very good cigar e-tailer.

Looks like the owners have decided to retire and call it quits... posted on their facebook page in November:

"Hello friends!

Hope your Monday was good! If you caught todays newsletter you already know that Linda and I are getting ready to retire. The store has been great, but the timing for this is good too, we're looking forward to a different kind of fun. THANK YOU for your continued patronage and support - it's been an amazing ride!"

Thanks for the confirmation.
Sorry to see them go.
Glad it was a retirement, rather than a business failure.
