Well gentlemen, this weekend was full of guns, shooting, and cigars. I met a guy at my local range who invited me out to a 2-gun event on Saturday. I don't have an AR but he was gracious enough to lend me his.
We shot off ladders, climbed and shot from a mock roof, engaged steel and paper targets from cover...freaking amazing time.
Today I took my new 870 out to try shooting clay. I've never done it before so I was a little intimidated showing up alone. The guys there were super nice and told me all the rules and what to expect for 5-stand (singles and report pair).
My first round was an embarrassing 1 for 25 but they said that's to be expected. I decided to light up a good cigar, take my time, and managed 18 for 25 on round two! Man was that a lot of fun!!
I think I found my new favorite place to smoke cigars and shoot the sh*t (no pun intended) on weekends. I'm hooked!!
