Wife grabbed me 3 of the espresso oak aged yetti and 3 6ers of Hopslam. I grabbed a case of Hopslam and a case of WnB in Birmingham :)

Gift from a coworker... I provided quite a bit of support on a project he had to handle and he got this for me to say thanks. Was a very very cool gesture...

...and while I'd be grateful for anything, the fact that he zeroed in on my Balvenie fix was pretty nice too.

I'd say that is a fine thank you! Looks like he knows your brand too. Not that you probably keep it a secret or anything

You're talking about the Expresso Yeti, right?

Seems like I'd make that more than just a monthly trip
Its a very expensive, and dangerous place for my unemployed ass to spend alot of time, Cliff. Believe me, if I had my druthers, they'd know me by name. Fella behind the counter might have mentioned a shipment of Pliny the Elder later in the week, so I might be making another run.

Fresh Pliny is awesome! Top IPA I've ever had! I've been more focused on heavier beers lately but I'll search for some when it warms up outside.

Bar in Salem is gonna have Pliny on tap next Monday. I'm pretty excited. I've had it in bottles before, but never on draft. I'm thinking its gonna be pretty good. Hopefully they're doing growler fills, but I doubt it.:disappoin

Had a sick day yesterday......and since i'm not good at laying around, I went and bought beer. Clearly things have gotten out of hand...

This may be the closest I get to a Three Floyds offering...and even though it's a collaboration w/ Mikkeller, it can't be too shabby!

Vinny is from San Diego, so all his old buddies' bars get Pliny kegs all the time. I'm so spoiled, I won't drink it from a bottle. The difference is night/day. On tap, it is way more floral, with a more fragrant citrus nose. Enjoy! :bottle:

Good People does make some good beer. You can actually get some offerings right out of the cask at The J Clyde, which is quite interesting.

I would buy a lot more Good People if they bottled instead of canned.

Canning is the way of the future for craft beer... A lot of breweries are going that route. Lets no light in and more sustainable.

Are you from the Bham area Xingpao?

And Marty, I definitely plan on making a trip to Bham when I have some time. I need to check out their beer scene.

BOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAAH! Score tonight!!!!!!

These are becoming a bit hard to find, and a store I swung by had just found a bottle in the back and put it out yesterday. Talk about timing!

And then for tonight, a treat in the form of Saison:

Guy in front of me bought a bottle of Pappy Family Reserve. I almost took him out in the parking lot. But I resisted. I'm compassionate.
