Been a while since I grabbed a new bottle, was always a fan of the wood finishing series. I was in Huntington for work and hit up a local place I normally go. Normally they have very few allocations but good store picks and pricing. They must have bought the building next door and renovated. Much larger store but turned into a museum with pricing, some nice bottles though. JD 10,12, multiple old Fritz, MM cellar aged, Blantons store pick. Was tempted by the JD 10 at $189 but thought it was pretty high. Was really looking for the MM, little book and Bookers Reserve. Walked out and decided to walk back in and ask about the MM, lady said she thought was one in he case. I said I didn’t see one, she looked and brought one out from the back for me.image.jpg

It's not bad, Chayse, though not one of my favorites of the series.

If either the Booker's Reserves or the Little Book Infinity Blend are anywhere near retail, I strongly suggest picking up those.

My most recent pick ups,

Found the bookers at a Walgreens of all places.

was in Huntington for work and headed across the river to KY, originally had bought a Bakers 13 and WB Saffel and woke up the next day and had my car broken into and both bottles stolen, store gave me 15% off on replacements. Grabbed an extra Coy hill for trade or resale which normally I never sell bottles but couldn’t pass it up IMG_4956.jpegIMG_5045.jpegIMG_4956.jpegIMG_5045.jpeg

Picked these up a few weeks ago while in Virginia for work. I ended up cracking the 1792 while sitting in the hotel room and it may be one of the sweetest bourbons I’ve had in a long time, was very surprised.IMG_0387.jpeg

Funny Story (kinda). Had one of my sales guys go to AZ for vacation. I tell him, check and see if any stores out there have Weller. Well, he comes in the office Monday and hands me a W12. Surprised I say thanks and what do I owe you. $259 Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Holy shat. I had to let him know just how far his pants were pulled down only to realize it was my pants. WTF? Lesson learned. Always give your searchers a ceiling. FFS.

Cheers Fellas
