Well I'm taking the leap, been in communication w Ron over an Avallo cabinet. So, what do you guys think, an 2000 display, regular 2000 or the ddd shorty? The cabinet is going to be in the main floor living room. Right now I have 2 desktops filled as well as a 120qt cooli filled. Right now I'm leaning.towards a ddd shorty. With an exterior singles shelf and a glass top in espresso.

well... If you got the room for a DDD, I would not go with the shorty, cause it seems like you have a lot of smokes...

That ddd is way big for where I need it. I don't think ill ever have the need to.store 90+ boxes. Even the display at 6ft seems.big. ive got some more measuring.to do than its.off to the phones with Ron.

Whatever fits best in the space you're going to put it. Whichver you got with remember the depth. At 25"deep, the shorty looks better IMO than the taller display. If it was 17 or 19" deep, I may go with the display but you've made a good choice as long as it works where you are going to put it.

When you say exterior singles shelf, does that mean its a little taller (height of the shelf)? or the same dimensions as a regular shorty with the doors cut down a little shorter to make room for the shelf? G1

The DDD Shorty is only 2 feet shorter than the regular.... If you were thinking of the 2000+ (6ft tall) then it's more storage than the DDD Shorty, and that's why I figured the DDD would be better for you, I think it gives about the same space as the tower, in a nicer looking cabinet.

Jose,

First off, great choice on going with an Avallo!

One thing that I worked out with Ron was replacing one of the singles drawers with a regular drawer. This may be something to consider if you see yourself buying/aging boxes. (If you do start collecting singles, you can always put them in empty boxes.)

Just a thought!

Trust me, go as big as possible. When I got my Aristocrat 3660 I thought I'd never need that much space. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting something bigger.
