Yes. I can understand why you see all these videos of bad Fed Ex deliveries. I happened to be near the front door when the Fed Ex guy comes up with a package from Curtis that I was expecting. The box is clearly labeled Up with arrows on all sides and the word UP on all panels. The guy at least puts the box down gently as it also says Fragile (hey curtis next time NEVER put (ish) after the fragile lol. But puts it down upside down. I opened the door and just asked him.

"whats wrong with this picture?"

He says "oh did you want me to ring the bell?" I said

"Besides the real obvious, why are you leaving the box like that?"

He says "oh I'm sorry didn't know you were home and handed me the box"

I ask him "do you know what the arrows mean?"

He says "yeah they point to the ground"

HUHHHH??? I just stopped and just told him to drive safe lol. Do they really let these people operate motor vehicles??? Wow , I was so dumbfounded. G1

Have fun having broken package from here on out haha. I know my FedEx and UPS guys on first name basis and I NEVER have issues.

Nah, I don't even think he realized that I was belittling him. My UPS guy will actually call me if there is a package that needs to be signed for and my USPS guy knows me well. I get maybe 2 Fed Ex deliveries a year so not an issue here. G1

Wow.
That'll be the last time I go Fed-ex. Only reason I went with them in the first place was the shitty attitude I got from the little puke at the UPS store when I called asking about wine shippers.
Glad everything made it ok.
Just curious how you kept from laughing in his face when he said the bit about the arrows pointing to the ground?

FedEx and FedEx Ground are fairly independent of each other.
FedEx is expensive but has good service.
FedEx Ground is cheaper and has poor service.

Do you recall if the "arrow-challenged" delivery guy was with FedEx or FedEx Ground?

Well don't let it deter you as it was just the delivery guy here. I was able to track it and Fed Ex has a much better tracking system than UPS and definitely better than USPS.

Oh man and when he answered, I was at first thinking he was joking but he was totally serious. I just couldn't go on and taunt the guy LOL G1

Oh and it was Fed Ex ground. I really think its area related. Im in DC so I'm sure its not the best group of delivery guys compared to say in a nice suburb. G1

I was guessing you'd say it was FedEx Ground.

For cigars, use a USPS Priority small flat rate box. $4.95 with tracking a 2 day service. I've shipped hundreds this way with ZERO issues.

I never new Fed Ex Ground and Fed Ex were seperate of each other untill I ordered Scotch from my scotch club and they shipped Fed Ex Ground. Im used to driving 5 min from work when I pick up a fed ex package that needs to be signed. This time closest place was over an hr luckily they changed it to a sat delivery So I had to sit and wait all day for it.

Now i just have it shipped to work. Someone always here to sign.
