OK, I've been divorced now going on two years. I've started slowly dating again and after what happened last weekend I think I will be laughing at the circumstances eventually.

I was talking to this women and we had dinner a couple times. Well, Friday night she asks me if I know this woman. I was absolutely stunned when it was my ex-wife's name. Turns out my ex has been dating her ex-husband for the last year. Well, I know it's not going to work out at she shares custody of her kids with him and my ex has been saying unkind and untrue things about me. I am finding out that percption tends to be reality and it's just not a battle I want to fight right now.


What are the freaking odds!?!? I will be laughing at this in about a month with some friends over some beer.

Also, I can beat that. My friend picked up this girl at a golf place bar where she worked. I think it was probibly one of the hottest chicks he ever landed. Well into there scond date they started talking about there families only to find out they were related!!! That's right...turned out to be a cousin he hadn't seen sense he was very little. LMFAO!!

I hope she is not trashing you in front of children. That would really suck. Kids should be left out of what us stupid adults do. Best of luck in the future with the dating.

Unfortunately that's how I found out she had been bad mouthing me. The lady I was dating asked me about things she had heard from her children. I agree with what you said about leaving children out of it. Personally, I refuse to go down to that level and didn't say anything negative.

I just hope this was the guy she was seeing when we were married as with my luck my next date would be with a lady who was once married to a different guy she had dated!!

That is a pretty funny story.

But look at it like this, you and your ex divorced for a reason and her and her ex divorced for a reason. Doesn't mean the two of you wouldn't work out. Here's how I'd spin it:

"My ex wife was a crazy b*tch so we divorced. Your ex husband was a prick so you divorced. Maybe they deserve each other and maybe we do too!" BoOm. Say that and panties may drop.
