That is a pretty funny story.

But look at it like this, you and your ex divorced for a reason and her and her ex divorced for a reason. Doesn't mean the two of you wouldn't work out. Here's how I'd spin it:

"My ex wife was a crazy b*tch so we divorced. Your ex husband was a prick so you divorced. Maybe they deserve each other and maybe we do too!" BoOm. Say that and panties may drop.

Many years ago four of us couples were friends during high school and we all hung out with each other after we married. Two of the couples ended up basically swapping partners and almost thirty years later one of the two couples is still together. I don't think it's all that rare.

Wow! I actually had a friend when I lived in Kansas City that found himself in the same circumstance. Even had kids in the equation, like yourself. He ended up marrying her and as you mentioned, initially there was some untrue things being circulated... I'm not sure how he worked through those issues. We lost touch when I moved to Chicago, otherwise I would ask him how he worked through the initial negativity circulated while they were dating and realized the coincidence...

I didn't think I would ever hear a similar situation... wow! Good luck man with the relationship.
