what do you guys think of my new cigar holder?

There are 3 main parts. The clamp, the flexible arm, and the cigar holder.

The clamp attaches to just about anything. I am using a plastic clamp right now, but might switch to metal.

The arm is flexible, so you can flex the holder into any position. This is better than other cigar holders because the holder can clamp onto vertical, horizontal, or any angled surface, and your cigar can remain upright.

the holder itself is just a simple cigar tube cap. My problem with most cigar holder clamps is it requires two hands to release your cigar. With this holder, you just place your cigar in the "cap"

I am shooting for a retail price of $15

holds up to 56 ring gauge. non adjustable. your cigar just lays inside of the "cap"
Will the cigar stay in the holder if you have a lancero? It would seem that a lancero would want to fall out b/c it might be leaning to one side and it would be top heavy.

Personally I think the arm is too long. Just a locking clip with a 3 or 4 inch bendable arm(like you have) would be more sufficient to have to carry around to places. I'm personally partial to one being designed as just the plastic clip with a 360 degree rotating cup that can change size like some older car cup holders so it can fit all RG's.

i will be shortening the arm. I am also looking for a smaller clamp. i am reading and learning what you guys like and dislike

Hmm... Duct tape it to the top/side?
Jeremy. No - just stop.

It must come from the top of the hat, like a propeller-beanie.

-------------------

But seriously, though - Ron, I don't think there's a market for this thing. If it were some kind of clippable/securable ashtray, then maybe. Then you can rest your stick AND contain your ashes. One without the other just doesn't make any sense, despite the arm thing.

If I want to set my stick down, I'm going to use an ashtray. If I'm smoking somewhere where no ashtray is available (which occurs only rarely at, say, a golf course) then I'll just put it on the grass, rock, wood or whatever is available and may/may not use my cutter as an impromptu stand. So, being frank, I wouldn't buy one - and by extension, I can't imagine that there are a whole lot of others that would, either.

Best,
Max
