I need to upgrade storage methods and am trying to decide between a huge cooler with shelves from Forrest, a wine fridge with shelves from Forrest and a cabinet (Not sure about the quality of this cabinet).

Fridge:

Cooler:

Cabinet:

Looking to store around 40 to 50 boxes with a drawer for singles. I don't think I can achieve that in the cooler or fridge, but I have plenty of extra 48qt coolers. Would like to get down to only a 150 and a 48qt if I go cooler.

I am leaning toward the cooler option. Would love to see your full coolers to help me make my choice.

Thanks guys
-Nick

I would not even bother with the cooler option. My first choice would be the cabinet, then the wine fridge, no third heh.
There are a lot of guys on here that will post: why don't you get an avallo? This is a valid point, but when you don't have the cash, it comes down to quality for the money. If anyone has experience with those cabinets, maybe they can tell you if they seal properly and/or hold humidity acceptably. I do not have any kind of idea, but know that those wine fridges hold solid as they are built to be tight. I would say that the fridge will look bad-ass with some nice custom Forrest-drawers.
You have a tough decision, hopefully you enjoy it whichever way you go.

One probelm I have seen with the duel temp fridges Is the one slated for whites temp control is far lower that I wanted it to be.
Oh yeah, forgot about that. I always forget about temp. control because I never had a problem going above 68 in my basement. I agree that the white wine temp. side will never get up high enough for it to be usable when plugged in.

I've "wasted" a lot of money buying storage upgrades thinking thats the last I'd buy and sure enough i out grew it. So remeber first thing you will probably outgrow anything you buy. I'd use those 48qt coolers and save some cash for a nice avallo.

On your 3 choices the fridge is will be enough and leave you some room to grow but remember you will probably be spending an extra $400-$600 do get that fridge where you want it. at that point your not to far off from an avallo.

You will always get more bang for your buck going the cooler route. they don't look as nice as a cabinet but great storage options for those on a budget.

Agreed. I have always gone the coolerdor route. The reason being I have an 8X8 storage room off my mancave, So I keep my coolerdors in there, while the shiney humidors adorn the table tops of my cave. If I had not had the storage space and my coolerdors had to reside in the man-room- I might the cabinet way. I also have a wineador, I started it when I lived in a condo years ago, without climate controled rooms. Now that I own a home and have build a cigar room with climate control I have no need to add any more fridges. I rather spend the money on cigars & pipe tobacco

If you end up choosing a cabinet, go Avallo. I have NEVER heard anything but the upmost praise for them.
I'll be ordering one soon.
