fuelie, that's a beautiful 10/22 you got there. I'm taking all three of my .22s to the range this weekend. Once I find out which one is the most accurate, I'm going to do a conversion similiar to what you have there (laminate stock, nice scope, etc.)
Thanks! Best part is that I have a Gemtec Alpine can I can screw on the end and it makes it much quieter than an air pistol...

Be sure to include it in your Sh*t hits the fan bag! :glassesgr I'd love a suppressor but that $200 tax stamp and paperwork is just not worth it (to me)

.308 PSS - mine holds .7 MOA to 1K yards, with 175 grain rounds remaining supersonic to ~1100 yards. I call it the AT&T rifle. It will take anything in the CONUS.

.308 FAL - when I need to put 20 rounds down range in a hurry. Superb for fire suppression or penetration.

5.56 AR - Overkill for small game, but many, many other uses.

No handguns for this guy. A a great Marine DI once said: "A pistol is only for fighting your way back to your rifle." Given the end times scenario, any handgun would be a waste if only limited to three firearms.

What was your reasoning in going with AAC762SD and AAC m4-2000? I love the Osprey 9!
Reduced noise and flash signature. Beneficial for hearing, communication, and reducing the chance of being found. Pinpointing the sound or flash of either rifle would be EXTREMELY easy unsuppressed.

Actually I meant why AAC vs Silencerco, Gemtec, etc. I'm with you on reasons for owning cans!:riflefire

I love the idea of the Saker, but it's too new for me to deem it worthy. Not a Gemtech fan. KACs are durable, but heavy and not great on sound reduction. I like the Surefire ones, but they're even more expensive. AAC have been proven, and offer the best balance of price and quality IMHO.

Colt M16A4 - Easy to use, easy to clean, very accurate, wide availability of parts and ammo, iron sites are just fine for me, plenty accurate for that 5.56 ammo.

Savage .300mag - Once again, durable and reliable, powerful enough to kill anything the 5.56 has trouble with. Leupold VX-3L 3.5x10 56mm scope.

Benelli M4 - I would prefer this over a handgun if I'm interested mainly in hunting and/or protecting myself. I love my Kimber, but there are few things that can beat a 12 gauge when you aren't concerned about concealing. How else am I going to protect the worlds last stash of Padrons from you crazy bastards! ;)

This is by no means my dream list of firearms, but these would be the ones I would choose if I had to make it on my own in a "wilderness" situation.

Color me jealous. At what distance are you still accurate with that?

Thread hijack over.
I'm not accurate at all. My son and I built the rifle for him (12 yrs old.) Supposedly accurate out a bit but he mostly shoots 100 to 150 ft.

1. A .22 caliber rifle. The ammo is cheap and you can stock a boatload of it and the versatility, range, along with it being a light weapon make it ideal.
2. A 20 gauge shotgun simply because if I have to use it exclusively for one reason or another I don't want my shoulder to turn purple. Stock up on slugs, birdshot, and buckshot and you are set. Semi auto is nice.
3. A .45 because if it comes down to using a handgun I want to be able to take a man off his feet in one shot.

Rifle- bushmaster "m4" carbine 556... Iron sights
Shotgun- Mossberg 590a1, full length tube, bayonet.
Pistol- colt 1911 .45.. This ones survived two world wars, confident it'll get through the end of the world.

FNH SCAR17, LWRC PSD, HK P30 in .40S&W. In the post-election ammo shortages, all the shelves were bare, but there was a fuckload of .40 everywhere.

Would also consider a crossbow like a Parker Concorde or a compound bow a la Williams Z7 extreme
