Hey folks,

My name is Nick I am originally from New York, now living in Houston. I started as a super casual smoker(special occasions a few a year), gradually ramping up. about 5 years ago got a bit more frequent but never more than I could smoke, always B&M singles.
The cigar that really got me serious was the Montecristo White Rothchilde. What a smooth cigar. It was also my first box purchase about 3 years ago along with a huge (back then, now almost full) 200 count humidor. I had nothing but trouble with it back then, and let it empty out after about 6 months. Humidity, temperature, mold, etc.
I tried it again 6 months ago with a CO XL and calibrated digital hygro. Now I am struggling to keep temp down even though my place is very well air conditioned at all times. My RH is about 68 and temp 72 degrees. Hopefully this is good enough as I dont want to go the coolador route.
Sorry for the rant but looking forward to some nice posts and learning alot more about cigars and you folks!

Welcome! Check out the stickies in the various threads. They will save you time and money. Reconsider going with a coolidor. It's cost effective and I haven't had to mess with a leaky desk top in forever.
Enjoy the site!

Welcome Nsalta from Minnesota!

I am also relatively new to this forum but have found it very useful and informative. IMHO you should be just fine at 68 RH and 72*
