I got to say there is just something nice about waking up on a cool Sunday morning and enjoying a cigar and coffee. It just makes the day go so much better.

I hear you brother. I did the exact same thing. Had my cigar buddy with me, which in our house is also known as the dog. Funny thing, as soon as I go to the humidor and grab a cigar she starts watching. When I grab the cutter, she trots to the door and waits patiently for me. It is so relaxing she suspends her ongoing battle with the squirrels and just sits by my chair until I am finished. Cigars are as much about the experience as they are the cigar itself.

cigars should be about no pressure, just the experience and the context. the work week does not often allow a "no pressure" zone, and i wholeheartedly agree. enjoy, friends!

As soon as my dog see's me cutting a cigar, he goes all "happy" and knows a long walk is about to occur...

Nothing like the end of the weekend to enjoy a cigar you have been putting off, just before the week gets hectic. Was busy in the AM but plan on pulling out a nice La Riqueza to end the night. :ccool:

How cool...and it's true because I have two dogs and they know my ritual as well. When the cigar box opens and the cutter takes off the cap the boys start dancing in circles...it's walktime.

Our rituals with cigars are important to us because it is something desired that we know is going to give us something we crave...peace and a time to relax. There isn't a pill that can give us that same feeling and the next time you groan about the price of the ordinary cigar of $8 - $15 think of what it gives you in return. A therapist will charge you around $150 an hour while a cigar gives you more for less than 10% of that total ....and you get an extra hour or two for free on top of that.
