Wrapper came unraveled, I smoked it anyways

I ordered some Rocky Patel Connecticut's from Cigars International. They are a decent mild smoke in my opinion. Anyways, one of the torpedoes caps was damaged and it was already unraveling. I made the cut and lit it up. About half way through I made the mistake of removing the band, and it was all downhill from there. The entire wrapper came undone; there was no saving it. I removed the remaining part of the wrapper and continued to smoke it. It wasn't too bad of an experience, it was just a little unfortunate.

Any other similar experiences??

I had an undercrown with a big crack about half an inch from the band. Came out of the 5 pack that way. As soon as the burn got close to the crack it just opened way up. Same type of deal a big section of the wrapper just burned off. Had to constantly touch it up to keep the burn somewhat even. Kinda sucked.

I've had the wrapper come undone a few times.

Twice I recall not being able to save it.
Both were CT wrapped cigars, and I remember it really affecting the flavor.
So much so that I chucked em both.

I have had this happen on a few of mine as well. I picked up a little thing of cigar glue for a couple bucks and it has already more than paid for itself with the 2 cigars it has saved.

I use the glue all the time. When you see a cracked smoke in your humi the last thing you wanna have to do is throw it out. The $3 I spent on it has probably saved over $100 worth of cigars. I highly recommend it

I have saved several cracked cigars this way. I use instant fruit pectin from the canning section at "wally mart". it costs about a $1 for the powder (make sure and get the instant). I mix it up with distilled H2O and "paint" it over the crack or re-secure the loose leaf with it. Works like a charm!

I one time tried to close my coolidors lid and squished a Dirty Rat while i was re arranging cigars (My first clue that i have too many cigars)

The thing was mangled, but no way in hell was i about to let a rat go to waste, I lit it up and just touched up the parts that didn't burn. wasn't the best dirty rat experience i have had, but at least it didn't get wasted.

My local B&M sells little bottles of "El Ligador". It's a little expensive, but has paid for itself many times over.

wrapper imparts 20% of flavor on the cigar apparently. That said, I had some Opus X with the wrapper removed bc I hate rosado. It was much better. :crosseyed
