Tues:
We woke up, ate, then took a cab over to CigarBox, which was recommended by a couple brothers. Now I was under the impression that no one was in town, or able to make it for a meet up this week. When I arrived at the shop, I found out that Fat_Risling (Colt) was sitting in the store having a stick already. I felt bad on the timing, as we has some stuff planned, and couldn't spend a lot of time there. Bought a couple sticks, chatted a bit, then left to head back to the strip for some more walking and walking.
I did pick up a couple MK Ultras at the shop, and lit one up that afternoon. I have never had a cigar want to go out as much as this one did. I re-lit it 7 times. I don't know if it was too wet, or just was the tunneling, but it was frustrating. The flavors, when able to get them, were amazing!
We had supper, then went over to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay to gamble a bit and smoke a stogie.
Had an EPC Innaugural 2009 that night that was great!
We walked all the way back to our hotel, we did a lot of that, and stayed up till 4. As you can guess, another cigar must have been had;
finished the night with a T52 Toro. Still love these sticks, new or old.
Wed:
After a bite to eat, we walked the strip again, ending up at Casa Fuente again...imagine that. I walked into the store to find that Colt was working there. Funny how things worked out. We chatted for a bit, then I grabbed a Fuente Anejo 48. MAN was that a good cigar! It started off with all the flavor you need, and kept building from there. I did start feeling the nicotine at the end, but nothing too strong. Sat there with a mojito again, watched sports and chilled.
We left there went to eat at the Sports Bar in NYNY, which is the best place to eat if you like sports ! Grabbed our bags and came home.
Great trip all in all. Wonderful surprise from the wife, and back home safe with a lot of cool memories and a few more sticks.
Thanks for reading, I hope everyone else gets to see that monstrosity that is Vegas.
