Depends on what you are storing. Lots of individual sticks or boxes? You can find a good Vinotemp or Edgestar wine cooler for $150-200 and then spend another $150-200 on drawers and shelves from Forrest (http://wineadors.com/) and have the capacity to store 10x the amount that little one holds. And the plus side is, being in the NW, you probably won't even need to run the wine cooler!

It may say 500ct humidor but in my experience you usually can only fit 75% of the stated capacity so realistically that's 325-350 cigars. For that amount of money you can get much more bang for your buck storage wise. Are you looking to store boxes or singles or both. I would go with a cooler as your most cost effective option. Walmart has the igloo marine 48qt for $30 dollars and you can fit 12-15 boxes or 10boxes and 3 trays for singles inside add another $30 for humidification and bam looking at $60 for surplus storage and that $100 bucks you save can go towards filling up the cooler.

also think about accessibility. With a Wineador, things will be much more organized and you will be able to access sticks easier since they won't be stacked like in the foot locker.

I agree with the other guys. It would be cheaper to buy a cooler and fill it with trays and boxes. In my case, I would fill it with $10 bucks spanish cedar trays, since I don't buy boxes...can't really afford it.

But I must say, having a desktop humidor...the smell is awesome. Does a coolerdor smells that good?

I don't like deep chests like that. Imagine trying to get something you want out of the very bottom. You'd have to dig through everything else to get to it.

It does look nice though, just not very practical IMO.

My plan is to do mostly boxes but I'm going to have quite a few singles as well. I guess a big thing is that it looks good, which I think the wine-a-dors look neat and if they function as well as being easy to access (which I didn't think about with the locker) . I'm going to have to keep looking. Is the Edgestar worth the money? What are you using for humidification Humi-care or cigar oasis? Thanks again Brothers!
