Which Cohibas?

I'm a complete CC n00b. I picked up a couple of these from a friend today. I'm:

a) trying to figure out which Cohiba they are
b) hoping they're legit

but if it were my two smokes, I'd throw a label on one to note the year, smoke one now, and stick the other one with the label away for another 3-5 years and revisit it. maybe take a note so you can compare it later on. my $0.02.

Bummer is he said he bought the box about a couple years ago and has about a half doze left. I paid $20/piece for these, so hopefully I can just swap him something else.

unfortunately, these look fake. The top squares should not have that much black border above them and the scripting for Habana, Cuba is not correct.

Don't let it get to you, bro. Those are damn good. First thing to check every time should be that "C" in Cuba, they just have a LOT of trouble with it. Then check the squares from there, and so on. That "C" was a dead giveaway on these though.

Hate to see anybody get burned by all of the fakes that are out there but onced burned you tend not to forget it...and then you become educated so it doesn't happen again. Most of us have gotten burned at least once...my last time was 15 years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Seems there are more Cohiba fakes than any other brand. I agree with 43, getting burned once makes you that much more aware.
