NEVER make a "quick stop" at the B&M with your wife in the car, it can get ugly. :(

Also, NEVER turn that "quick stop" at the B&M into a "stocking up" stop with your wife in the car... it can get painful. :(

AND, NEVER come out of the B&M carrying a box of cigars, because you know the dreaded question is going to pop up, "How much did you spend?"

*shakes head* After so many years, you would think I would've learned my lessons. :sadcry:

On a happy note, new cigars! woot! :eyebrow: I finally have a few Feral Flying Pigs to give a try.

Those are some wise lessons my friend...I guess unless your lady smokes cigars...then I guess your budget for cigars would double...in theory
Problem is, in reality your budget stays the same lol. Was sitting out the front last night, smoking an AB black market, when the Mrs comes outside, cuts the cap off one of my Namakubi, and proceeds to tell me how much she enjoys it. I was like "oh, sweet, so you're gonna start buying sticks too now?". She says "nah, I'll just smoke what you buy". I'm working on turning that around.

Haha I love this thread. Not to be happy at your expense. I havnt had to deal with this yet since no B&M in Bahamas, but I have mastered the art of hiding the incoming online cigar orders.

The next logical move for a Cigar Veteran is when unloading the cigars into the car turn to the wife and smile and say..."Now, off to the shoe store for you."

the alternative is to train your wife not to ask. that's what I've done. chuck norris style.
That's the easy way out. I've trained my wife to recognize my favorite brands and sizes so that she can buy them for me. Every birthday and Christmas, I get a nice package handed to me. :)

That's what I do. ;)

Your cigar budget doubles, but at least you get what you want....and it beats the alternative of paying off the UPS/FedEx/USPS guy to hide your packages on the side of the house! :)

gotta say, i'm lucky in this one. my lady has never asked either "how many", or "how much". last time she rolled with me, dropped coin on a pile, and she never blinked, just said "i'm glad you found new stuff honey".

of course, this was on the way to taking her slot machining. oh well. i never ask about the sephora boxes, she never peeks in the humis, and as long as the bills get paid, we good. o)

We are the lucky ones, my wife just smileys and says I can't believe that you still get this excited over a box of cigars :)
