Not to highjacked this thread, but is it a safe assumption that if the band is perfectly legit we can assume the cigars are legit?
Not always, there have been cases of actual legit Cohiba bands put on fakes. These are fairly rare, but not entirely unheard of. After finished checking the band, ALWAYS check that the construction pairs up to what you have seen in the past concerning whatever cigar you have. Suffice it to say, if somebody is selling Monte #2's with legit bands, but the cigar is a Perfecto, it might be a fake, lol. When they start using old legit bands, it gets quite a bit harder to pick out a fake.
