to me it a lot depends on the cigar itself. but patience is key. have to be a bit gentle while smoking it. i dont try for long ash often as it does take away from the enjoyment of the cigar.

I prefer to ash as few ktimes as possible when smoking.
I thing it adds to the experience and th cooler the cigar burns due to the ash the better the flavor IMO.
